Gia Abucejo is an interdisciplinary artist and designer working primarily across moving image and text.

 

She has created films, animations, and video installations exhibited nationally and internationally at galleries and festivals, including Millennium Film Workshop and Mattress Factory. She also creates projection design for theater and live performance, collaborating with theater artists at Kelly Strayhorn Theater, SoMad, and CAVE.

Gia is based in New York City, where she is currently working on projection design for a new play. She is always exploring new modes of storytelling and making up excuses to collaborate more with her father.
